Sculptra is also known as a ‘liquid facelift’. It is not a traditional filler, but rather a biostimulator that strengthens the skin from within over the long term. Unlike hyaluronic acid, Sculptra achieves its volumising effect gradually: visibly smoother skin develops over several weeks as the body’s own collagen is built up.
The face is treated most frequently: cheeks, temples, jawline and chin. The décolleté, upper arms and buttocks are also possible. The aim is always to achieve natural tightening and improved skin elasticity.
First, we conduct a detailed assessment of your skin and provide individual advice. If there are no objections to the treatment, we inject the Sculptra liquid into the deeper layers of the skin using very fine needles.
The injection of the substance takes 30 to 45 minutes. The treated area is then gently massaged to help distribute the active ingredient evenly.
For optimal results, 2 to 3 sessions at intervals of 4 to 6 weeks are generally recommended.
The full effect develops over approximately 2 to 3 months and then lasts for up to 2 years. After that, a refresher treatment can be carried out to maintain the effect permanently.
Sculptra provides a significant but very natural increase in volume. A before-and-after comparison shows smoother skin, increased elasticity and a visibly rejuvenated appearance – without any of the typical signs of classic fillers. Sculptra is well tolerated as it is based on biodegradable lactic acid.
Side effects such as slight swelling, redness or small bruises at the injection site are possible, but are usually harmless and temporary. Rare risks such as nodule formation can be virtually ruled out through experienced application and proper aftercare.

Sculptra is not suitable for people with active skin infections, known allergies to polylactic acid or autoimmune diseases. The treatment should also be avoided during pregnancy or breastfeeding.
